Mary Anne Morrison, M.Ed, owner/manager of Laughing Dog Ranch LLC (named in honor of her beloved Rottweilers and Staffords) has been obsessed with breeding, showing and training both dogs and horses since childhood. Apples don't fall far from the tree:
Her grand-father, Chick Morrison, was an internationally respected cowboy and horseman in his day, having trained the infamous Morgan stallion, Rex, King of Wild Horses, for the early silent films in Santa Barbara.
As a child, Mary Anne progressively rode Welsh, then Welsh-Arab, then Arabians...fabulous ones!
Her mentors constantly quoted famous Arab breeder Lady Wentworth, "Welsh-Arabians: The most beautiful ponies on the face of the Earth". Oh, the eventual impact this would have on her life!
Years later, suffering "empty-nest syndrome," Mary Anne set-out to re-discover THE perfect, little, good-minded Arabian mare for kids and "returning grown-ups"...little did she know they'd become rare-as-hens'-teeth!
